Not only does Digg algo trust these domains more but users are more likely to Digg submissions from these sources as well.

I keep coming back to this article - I think that it is fascinating me in the old fashioned sense of the word.

Digg-a-maniac, I guess.

If anyone else is really interested in Digg, drop me an email, we have a Social Suite that has some very high end digg analytics and tools in it that we're beta testing.

I guess that is not more than normal. Sites like CNN most like will provide more valuable (or more trustful) content then some small blog.

Interesting list, and not surprisingly, AOL is not amongst Digg's top trusted source... Propeller. (*Wink* *Wink*) Yet Youtube and its user generated videos get more love from the social media site.

Interesting report Jeff. Was looking into this over the weekend, timely list. I wonder if other major news outlets are not included due there lack of adding socializing buttons or if other reasons are involved.

@ Oliver Taco - I too think there may be a human element to assessing domain trust. Right now though, I really do think they're selling out their heavy users, to artificially inflate usage numbers, to fetch a higher selling price. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

Thanks for commenting Oliver!

Hmmm, I have certainly noticed that these sites go hot fast, but I'm kind of curious if we are seeing cause or effect.

Also, frankly, given the huge number of software errors we see in Digg I'm not sure I believe they have the ability to produce and maintain super-sophisticated algy's.

I suspect "the man behind the curtain" more than anything else. ;_0)

PS - thought this and the trust article were very good!
