I agree with you about the middle ground, for that's where I aspire to be, and no higher (not that I ever will be). From there you can maintain a good foothold upon your niche as well as survey the lie of the land from smallest village to the highest ivory tower.

You only have to look at the legacy of the real 'Rock Star' (Jagger, Richards, Townshend, Daltrey, etc.) to see they inevitably lose touch with their audience.

I think 'middle ground blogger' should be the next buzz-word and what all of us who've kept ourselves grounded in reality and not believed our own hype, should aspire to be. ;)</description>
