Get Off Your High Horse – We Aren't Stupid

by Donna Fontenot October 26th, 2007

Ok, all of you out there (and you know who you are) who have been sitting up on your high horses proclaiming that everyone else is stupid for getting upset about the PR changes – STOP IT! You are the ones who aren't getting it. When it comes right down to it, people, it's not [...]

Poll Results So Far and Thoughts

by Donna Fontenot October 25th, 2007

Ok, the poll from yesterday has received 71 votes so far, which isn't a lot, but I still wanted to just throw some thoughts out there about the results anyway. In my opinion, the first two options, still buy them at the same price as before and still buy them, but pay a little less [...]

PR Update Today – Many Sink

by Donna Fontenot October 24th, 2007

Looks like the toolbar PR updated today, with many sites losing lots of green. Problogger alerted me to it, since it noted that its PR went down to a 4, as did Copyblogger's. Some of my sites saw a lower PR, including this one. However, I've still got great rankings and traffic for things I [...]

According to The Wiz of SearchEnginePeople.com Internet stalwart and SEO guru paid directory of yore, Uncoverthenet.com appears to have been blacklisted and removed by Google. The Wisdom Of Network Ratings

by The Guy July 12th, 2007

The new Drew Carey show the Power of Ten, made me realize that user generated content is being employed more and more often to create network ratings. The premise of the show is simple: The contestant who can most accurately predict the American public's response to intriguing poll questions could walk away with 10 million [...]

by Donna Fontenot June 27th, 2007

An old client of mine got in touch with me about three weeks ago, begging for help. Over the last couple of years, their site has lost all its rankings and they were desperate for change. I agreed to help with the following terms: I would only be able to give them one, possibly two, [...]

Inadvertently tell the search engine spiders not to index your files, via robots.txt or metas Completely change your URLs and don't 301 redirect the old ones to the new ones. Employ techniques that irk the search engines (let's use hidden urls to porn sites as an example) and then make sure to badmouth an SEO. [...]
