I wasn't aware that facebook allowed some brands to use vanity urls before last Saturday. Kind of interesting, especially considering that some of them don't meet the 1000 fans rule. I can say that I was definitely in there first thing Saturday morning snatching up my username.

I was impressed by the way facebook invited some bloggers, journalists and business to take a vanity URL before opening it up for public. I am sure there will be some 'land-grabbing' on facebook but it's definitely better than twitter.
