It’s hard to believe, but Google Analytics is broken today.
Let me explain.
I attempted to create a web traffic report for a client using April 2011 data. Normally, I use advanced segments so I can drill down and parse the data. When I selected the non-paid search option from advanced segments, I discovered that the data for April has disappeared. Poof. Gone.
When you attempt to make date comparisons, or any other type of two segment analysis, the data for the month of April vanishes. Take a look.
I hope this will get fixed soon or the folks at Omniture and Webtrends will be blowing up balloons and ordering party favours.
Well, so much for fast-access mode. If you want to share your thoughts, or learn from others about this issue, feel free to visit the Google Analytics forum.
Of course, no one thing is perfect but I expect a higher standard of excellence from an institution that has more PhD’s than NASA.
