Justin Seibert: Search Blogger of the Day

This is one of a series of posts in which I will be highlighting each member of the Search Bloggers list, with commentary on one of their posts (new or old). Look for this series to continue once or twice a week for the next couple of months.

Meet Justin Seibert, the Search Blogger of the Day. Today I'd like to highlight a post entitled Ego Keywords: at What Cost? This one is fun because literally everyone has a few keywords that they feel they absolutely MUST rank well for. Justin dubs these "ego keywords" and explains what the pitfalls can be when one insists on aiming for them. It's an interesting piece, so go check it out. You'll get a couple of chuckles out of it as well.

If you want to know more about today's Search Blogger of the Day, check out Justin's about page.

That's the Search Blogger of the Day. If you are a search blogger, and aren't on the list yet, go here to find out how to be included. I plan to promote everyone on the list in various ways. Some will be informative, and some will be just plain fun. Don't miss out.

I don't know if I agree with you about this cat. But I suppose it is good info on how people waste money and time trying to target keywords they don't really need.

@Donna – Thank you very much for the shout out. Again, the concept is a very good one and you've inspired me to spread some love around as well. Have a great weekend!

The one question SEO noobs were either never taught or just refuse to listen to is:

Are people going to actually search for that word or phrase?

It's the very first thing I was ever taught, when I was going for some really silly phrases. LOL

Story of my life. Good article. This is part of my SEO to do list. Research is going to be major, but it will pay off.

Getting the right keywords and ranking is great. Time isn't as expensive as adwords (yet)…
