I got a little closer today. Ruud, on accreditation/standards there are lawyers who set precedent and those who provide a good valued regular service. Should only precedent setting lawyers be able to take the bar and call themselves lawyers? When I walk in any lawyers office I know he has meant some minimum standard of professionalism and learning. Until we have set the bar for competency there is no hope for being taken seriously as a trade and professional. There are too many SEOs that don't know simple stuff like how to do a 301 and when. There is a lot of techniques that use protocal and known factors like indexing by crawlers. I also see a day when SEO practitioners will be learning IR because SE's are way beyond "build compelling content and build links" as long term techniques.
