Thanks for the tips. I totally agree - there are many other important factors to SEO other than just link building. On site optimization is important, and most importantly to have good, unique content. Plus, I think it's increasingly more important to have people staying on your site and looking at multiple pages.

What a great interview, took me an hour to go through. Lots of good stuff here. Agree the old fashioned (basic) SEO still applies. It's just that there are so many other new ways to optimize as well. Some may get you in trouble though :-)

Awesome interview. I've been a "fan" of Fantomaster for a couple of years now and it's nice to get to hear him elaborate on some things. I want to know more though! :)

Good common sense and some nice insight! Decent buzz usually does the link building for you, it's definetly my favourite.

This is a great interview.

A big problem I find with link building is people's idea of doing "everything at the beginning", to almost try & beat the sandbox. But this actually ends up hurting them as the domains gets flagged quickly. Thus the link profile tends to look very unnatural & rankings tank (or don't even materialize).

Slow & steady wins the race.

Good reminder of basic SEO importance. I agree with the over-blown expectations in regard to money making on the web. Nothing comes that easy.

He made some great points. I can see how some people may be getting caught up in links. Links wont do much for you if your on-page SEO isn't inline.

Fabulous interview. This is real meaty stuff. I love seeing the classic seo rules still apply, we tend to forget discussing that now and then.
