$1.7 Billion = Marketing Spend On Social Networks

eMarketer Inc. estimates the size of the online ad market to be $25.1 billion.

$1.7 billion of that (6.7%) goes to social networks such as Twitter and Facebook.

The remainder goes elsewhere, especially to Google.
