Anchorage Ranks Amongst Least Expensive Markets for Google Adwords in USA

SEP's ongoing research into PPC Campaigns has revealed that Anchorage was the 176th least expensive city in USA in keyword bids in Google Adwords for the month of August 2016. Anchorage also ranks amongst the least expensive cities in Alaska, ranking as number 1st. In the study, San Buenaventura ranked as the most expensive city in the country, while Manchester ranked as the least expensive city.

SEP's research shows that the average price of a click to advertisers targeting Anchorage keywords increased by (Yr/Yr increase %)% versus the same keywords one year earlier.

Google Adwords Keyword Prices 22% Lower in Anchorage than Round Rock

SEP’s research also tracks Google Adwords price changes and trends in cities across Canada and the U.S. Recent data shows that average prices in Anchorage are 22% lower than in Round Rock. The average price of a click in Anchorage is $10.77.

This price difference is interesting though, given the population of Round Rock is less than Anchorage.

To get a better sense of relative prices, we also compared prices with another similarly sized city, Plano, and found the average price of a click in Anchorage was 53% lower than in Plano.

The Price Rank shows how expensive keywords are in certain industry and segment relative to other cities in a country, region and province.
