Scottsdale Ranks Amongst Most Expensive Markets for Keywords in Rocky Mountain States

SEP's ongoing research into PPC Campaigns has revealed that Scottsdale was the 8th most expensive city in Rocky Mountain States in keyword bids in Google Adwords for the month of September 2016. Scottsdale also ranks amongst the most expensive cities in Arizona, ranking 2nd. In the study, Ann Arbour ranked as the most expensive city in Rocky Mountain States for keywords, while Fort Wayne ranked as the least expensive city.

Year over Year Google Adwords Prices for Scottsdale are up in September 2016

SEP's research shows that the average price of a click to advertisers targeting Scottsdale keywords increased by (Yr/Yr increase %)% versus the same keywords one year earlier.

Google Adwords Keyword Prices 31% Higher in Scottsdale than Tempe

SEP’s research also tracks Google Adwords price changes and trends in cities across Canada and the U.S. Recent data shows that average prices in Scottsdale are 31% higher than in Tempe. The average price of a click in Scottsdale is $19.72.

This price difference is understandable though, given the population of Tempe is less than Scottsdale, which generally means less competition and therefore lower prices.

To understand if prices in Scottsdale are relatively low, we also compared prices with North Las Vegas which has a similar population, and found the average price of a click in Scottsdale was 108% higher than in North Las Vegas. This suggests that perhaps Scottsdale prices are not relatively low.

The Price Rank shows how expensive keywords are in certain industry and segment relative to other cities in a country, region and province.
