Scottsdale Ranks Amongst Most Expensive Markets for Keywords in Rocky Mountain States

SEP's ongoing research into PPC Campaigns has revealed that Scottsdale was the 10th most expensive city in Rocky Mountain States in keyword bids in Google Adwords for the month of July 2016. Scottsdale also ranks amongst the most expensive cities in Arizona, ranking 3rd. In the study, Ann Arbour ranked as the most expensive city in Rocky Mountain States for keywords, while Fort Wayne ranked as the least expensive city.

SEP's research shows that the average price of a click to advertisers targeting Scottsdale keywords increased by (Yr/Yr increase %)% versus the same keywords one year earlier.

Google Adwords Keyword Prices 1% Lower in Scottsdale than Tempe

SEP’s research also tracks Google Adwords price changes and trends in cities across Canada and the U.S. Recent data shows that average prices in Scottsdale are 1% lower than in Tempe. The average price of a click in Scottsdale is $19.08.

This price difference is interesting though, given the population of Tempe is less than Scottsdale.

To understand if prices in Scottsdale align relatively, we also compared prices with North Las Vegas, which has a similar population, and found the average price of a click in Scottsdale was 59% higher than in North Las Vegas.

The Price Rank shows how expensive keywords are in certain industry and segment relative to other cities in a country, region and province.

This PPC study monitors the prices of keywords, number of advertisers competing for those keywords, and search volumes. To ensure relative market-to-market comparison keywords tracked are based on sufficient search volumes in all markets studied.
