Tucson Ranks Amongst Most Expensive Markets for Keywords in Rocky Mountain States

SEP's ongoing research into PPC Campaigns has revealed that Tucson was the 7th most expensive city in Rocky Mountain States in keyword bids in Google Adwords for the month of May 2016. Tucson also ranks amongst the most expensive cities in Arizona, ranking 2nd. In the study, Ann Arbour ranked as the most expensive city in Rocky Mountain States for keywords, while Fort Wayne ranked as the least expensive city.

Month over Month Google Adwords Prices for Tucson Rise in May 2016

SEP's research shows that the average price of a click to advertisers targeting Tucson keywords increased by 10% in May 2016.

Not surprisingly, the month over month price increases for Tucson Google Adwords terms helped increase prices (yr./yr. price increase)% higher than the same period last year.

Google Adwords Keyword Prices 66% Higher in Tucson than Chandler

SEP’s research also tracks Google Adwords price changes and trends in cities across Canada and the U.S. Recent data shows that average prices in Tucson are 66% higher than in Chandler. The average price of a click in Tucson is $20.01.

This price difference is understandable though, given the population of Chandler is less than Tucson, which generally means less competition and therefore lower prices.

To understand if prices in Tucson are relatively low, we also compared prices with Nashville which has a similar population, and found the average price of a click in Tucson was 41% higher than in Nashville. This suggests that perhaps Tucson prices are not relatively low.

The Price Rank shows how expensive keywords are in certain industry and segment relative to other cities in a country, region and province.
