Lancaster Ranks Amongst Least Expensive Markets for Google Adwords in USA

SEP's ongoing research into PPC Campaigns has revealed that Lancaster was the 214th least expensive city in USA in keyword bids in Google Adwords for the month of September 2016. Lancaster also ranks amongst the least expensive cities in California, ranking as number 57th. In the study, San Buenaventura ranked as the most expensive city in the country, while Ontario ranked as the least expensive city.

Year over Year Google Adwords Prices for Lancaster are up in September 2016

SEP's research shows that the average price of a click to advertisers targeting Lancaster keywords increased by (Yr/Yr increase %)% versus the same keywords one year earlier.

Google Adwords Keyword Prices 50% Higher in Lancaster than Palmdale

SEP’s research also tracks Google Adwords price changes and trends in cities across Canada and the U.S. Recent data shows that average prices in Lancaster are 50% higher than in Palmdale. The average price of a click in Lancaster is $8.69.

This price difference is understandable though, given the population of Palmdale is less than Lancaster, which generally means less competition and therefore lower prices.

To get a better sense of relative prices, we also compared prices with another city of equal population, Corona, and found the average price of a click in Lancaster was 17% lower than in Corona. This suggests that perhaps prices in Lancaster are relatively low.

The Price Rank shows how expensive keywords are in certain industry and segment relative to other cities in a country, region and province.
