Long Beach Ranks Amongst Most Expensive Markets for Keywords in Pacific States

SEP's ongoing research into PPC Campaigns has revealed that Long Beach was the 13rd most expensive city in Pacific States in keyword bids in Google Adwords for the month of April 2015. Long Beach also ranks amongst the most expensive cities in California, ranking 10th. In the study, San Buenaventura ranked as the most expensive city in Pacific States for keywords, while Ontario ranked as the least expensive city.

SEP's research shows that the average price of a click to advertisers targeting Long Beach keywords increased by 14% in April 2015.

Google Adwords Keyword Prices 55% Higher in Long Beach than Torrance

SEP’s research also tracks Google Adwords price changes and trends in cities across Canada and the U.S. Recent data shows that average prices in Long Beach are 55% higher than in Torrance. The average price of a click in Long Beach is $16.40.

This price difference is understandable though, given the population of Torrance is less than Long Beach, which generally means less competition and therefore lower prices.

To understand if prices in Long Beach are relatively low, we also compared prices with Staten Island which has a similar population, and found the average price of a click in Long Beach was 16% higher than in Staten Island. This suggests that perhaps Long Beach prices are not relatively low.

The Price Rank shows how expensive keywords are in certain industry and segment relative to other cities in a country, region and province.

The study illustrates the Average Price-Per-Click in a given city for select Industries and their related segments. Additionally, it reveals its current rank to other markets in a Country, Province, and its Month over Month % Price change.

This PPC study monitors the prices of keywords, number of advertisers competing for those keywords, and search volumes. To ensure relative market-to-market comparison keywords tracked are based on sufficient search volumes in all markets studied.
