Modesto Ranks Amongst Least Expensive Markets for Google Adwords in USA

SEP's ongoing research into PPC Campaigns has revealed that Modesto was the 78th least expensive city in USA in keyword bids in Google Adwords for the month of September 2016. Modesto also ranks amongst the least expensive cities in California, ranking as number 14th. In the study, San Buenaventura ranked as the most expensive city in the country, while Ontario ranked as the least expensive city.

SEP's research shows that the average price of a click to advertisers targeting Modesto keywords increased by 18% in September 2016.

Google Adwords Keyword Prices 55% Higher in Modesto than Stockton

SEP’s research also tracks Google Adwords price changes and trends in cities across Canada and the U.S. Recent data shows that average prices in Modesto are 55% higher than in Stockton. The average price of a click in Modesto is $14.89.

This price differential is somewhat surprising however, as Stockton has a larger population than Modesto.

To get a better sense of relative prices, we also compared prices with another city with a similar population, Fayetteville, and found the average price of a click in Modesto was 153% higher than in Fayetteville.

The Price Rank shows how expensive keywords are in certain industry and segment relative to other cities in a country, region and province.
