Riverside Ranks Amongst Most Expensive Markets for Keywords in Pacific States

SEP's ongoing research into PPC Campaigns has revealed that Riverside was the 11th most expensive city in Pacific States in keyword bids in Google Adwords for the month of March 2015. Riverside also ranks amongst the most expensive cities in California, ranking 8th. In the study, San Buenaventura ranked as the most expensive city in Pacific States for keywords, while Ontario ranked as the least expensive city.

Google Adwords Keyword Prices 142% Higher in Riverside than Moreno Valley

SEP’s research also tracks Google Adwords price changes and trends in cities across Canada and the U.S. Recent data shows that average prices in Riverside are 142% higher than in Moreno Valley. The average price of a click in Riverside is $15.90.

This price difference is understandable though, given the population of Moreno Valley is less than Riverside, which generally means less competition and therefore lower prices.

To understand if prices in Riverside are relatively low, we also compared prices with Corpus Christi which has a similar population, and found the average price of a click in Riverside was 29% higher than in Corpus Christi. This suggests that perhaps Riverside prices are not relatively low.

The Price Rank shows how expensive keywords are in certain industry and segment relative to other cities in a country, region and province.

An ongoing PPC Study by Search Engine People tracks and monitors how paid search in North America’s Top Cities is changing over time for select industries.

The study illustrates the Average Price-Per-Click in a given city for select Industries and their related segments. Additionally, it reveals its current rank to other markets in a Country, Province, and its Month over Month % Price change.

This PPC study monitors the prices of keywords, number of advertisers competing for those keywords, and search volumes. To ensure relative market-to-market comparison keywords tracked are based on sufficient search volumes in all markets studied.

The study includes a limited numbers of keywords to represent each industry, and specific segments in each industry. The main industries tracked are:
