Santa Ana Ranks Amongst Most Expensive Markets for Keywords in Pacific States

SEP's ongoing research into PPC Campaigns has revealed that Santa Ana was the 10th most expensive city in Pacific States in keyword bids in Google Adwords for the month of March 2015. Santa Ana also ranks amongst the most expensive cities in California, ranking 7th. In the study, San Buenaventura ranked as the most expensive city in Pacific States for keywords, while Ontario ranked as the least expensive city.

Google Adwords Keyword Prices 125% Higher in Santa Ana than Orange

SEP’s research also tracks Google Adwords price changes and trends in cities across Canada and the U.S. Recent data shows that average prices in Santa Ana are 125% higher than in Orange. The average price of a click in Santa Ana is $17.18.

This price difference is understandable though, given the population of Orange is less than Santa Ana, which generally means less competition and therefore lower prices.

To understand if prices in Santa Ana are relatively low, we also compared prices with Anaheim which has a similar population, and found the average price of a click in Santa Ana was 30% higher than in Anaheim. This suggests that perhaps Santa Ana prices are not relatively low.

The study illustrates the Average Price-Per-Click in a given city for select Industries and their related segments. Additionally, it reveals its current rank to other markets in a Country, Province, and its Month over Month % Price change.

This PPC study monitors the prices of keywords, number of advertisers competing for those keywords, and search volumes. To ensure relative market-to-market comparison keywords tracked are based on sufficient search volumes in all markets studied.
