Santa Rosa Ranks Amongst Least Expensive Markets for Google Adwords in USA

SEP's ongoing research into PPC Campaigns has revealed that Santa Rosa was the 135th least expensive city in USA in keyword bids in Google Adwords for the month of May 2016. Santa Rosa also ranks amongst the least expensive cities in California, ranking as number 34th. In the study, San Buenaventura ranked as the most expensive city in the country, while Ontario ranked as the least expensive city.

SEP's research shows that the average price of a click to advertisers targeting Santa Rosa keywords increased by 13% in May 2016.

Google Adwords Keyword Prices 41% Higher in Santa Rosa than Vallejo

SEP’s research also tracks Google Adwords price changes and trends in cities across Canada and the U.S. Recent data shows that average prices in Santa Rosa are 41% higher than in Vallejo. The average price of a click in Santa Rosa is $11.33.

This price difference is understandable though, given the population of Vallejo is less than Santa Rosa, which generally means less competition and therefore lower prices.

To get a better sense of relative prices, we also compared prices with another city of equal population, Fort Lauderdale, and found the average price of a click in Santa Rosa was 48% lower than in Fort Lauderdale. This suggests that perhaps prices in Santa Rosa are relatively low.

The Price Rank shows how expensive keywords are in certain industry and segment relative to other cities in a country, region and province.
