Thousand Oaks Ranks Amongst Least Expensive Markets for Google Adwords in USA

SEP's ongoing research into PPC Campaigns has revealed that Thousand Oaks was the 81st least expensive city in USA in keyword bids in Google Adwords for the month of November 2014. Thousand Oaks also ranks amongst the least expensive cities in California, ranking as number 21st. In the study, Dallas ranked as the most expensive city in the country, while Manchester ranked as the least expensive city.

SEP's research shows that the average price of a click to advertisers targeting Thousand Oaks keywords increased by 12% in November 2014.

Google Adwords Keyword Prices 29% Higher in Thousand Oaks than Simi Valley

SEP’s research also tracks Google Adwords price changes and trends in cities across Canada and the U.S. Recent data shows that average prices in Thousand Oaks are 29% higher than in Simi Valley. The average price of a click in Thousand Oaks is $13.22.

This price difference is understandable though, given the population of Simi Valley is less than Thousand Oaks, which generally means less competition and therefore lower prices.

To understand if prices in Thousand Oaks are relatively low, we also compared prices with Waco which has a similar population, and found the average price of a click in Thousand Oaks was 25% higher than in Waco. This suggests that perhaps Thousand Oaks prices are not relatively low.
