Colorado Springs Ranks Amongst Most Expensive Markets for Google Adwords in USA

SEP's ongoing research into PPC Campaigns has revealed that Colorado Springs was the 15th most expensive city in USA in keyword bids in Google Adwords for the month of December 2014. Colorado Springs also ranks amongst the most expensive cities in Colorado, ranking as 2nd. In the study, San Buenaventura ranked as the most expensive city in the country, while Manchester ranked as the least expensive city.

Google Adwords Keyword Prices 398% Higher in Colorado Springs than Pueblo

SEP’s research also tracks Google Adwords price changes and trends in cities across Canada and the U.S. Recent data shows that average prices in Colorado Springs are 398% higher than in Pueblo. The average price of a click in Colorado Springs is $20.43.

This price difference is understandable though, given the population of Pueblo is less than Colorado Springs, which generally means less competition and therefore lower prices.

To understand if prices in Colorado Springs are relatively low, we also compared prices with Kansas City which has a similar population, and found the average price of a click in Colorado Springs was 41% higher than in Kansas City. This suggests that perhaps Colorado Springs prices are not relatively low.

The study illustrates the Average Price-Per-Click in a given city for select Industries and their related segments. Additionally, it reveals its current rank to other markets in a Country, Province, and its Month over Month % Price change.

This PPC study monitors the prices of keywords, number of advertisers competing for those keywords, and search volumes. To ensure relative market-to-market comparison keywords tracked are based on sufficient search volumes in all markets studied.
