Washington Ranks Amongst Least Expensive Markets for Google Adwords in USA

SEP's ongoing research into PPC Campaigns has revealed that Washington was the 130th least expensive city in USA in keyword bids in Google Adwords for the month of September 2016. Washington also ranks amongst the least expensive cities in District Of Columbia, ranking as number 1st. In the study, San Buenaventura ranked as the most expensive city in the country, while Ontario ranked as the least expensive city.

Google Adwords Keyword Prices 23% Lower in Washington than Arlington

SEP’s research also tracks Google Adwords price changes and trends in cities across Canada and the U.S. Recent data shows that average prices in Washington are 23% lower than in Arlington. The average price of a click in Washington is $11.88.

This price difference is interesting though, given the population of Arlington is less than Washington.

To get a better sense of relative prices, we also compared prices with another similarly sized city, Boston, and found the average price of a click in Washington was 34% lower than in Boston.

The Price Rank shows how expensive keywords are in certain industry and segment relative to other cities in a country, region and province.
