Gainesville Ranks Amongst Most Expensive Markets for Keywords in South Atlantic

SEP's ongoing research into PPC Campaigns has revealed that Gainesville was the 13rd most expensive city in South Atlantic in keyword bids in Google Adwords for the month of April 2015. Gainesville also ranks amongst the most expensive cities in Florida, ranking 7th. In the study, North Charleston ranked as the most expensive city in South Atlantic for keywords, while Norfolk ranked as the least expensive city.

Google Adwords Keyword Prices 19% Higher in Gainesville than Jacksonville

SEP’s research also tracks Google Adwords price changes and trends in cities across Canada and the U.S. Recent data shows that average prices in Gainesville are 19% higher than in Jacksonville. The average price of a click in Gainesville is $16.43.

This price differential is somewhat surprising however, as Jacksonville has a larger population than Gainesville.

To get a better sense of relative prices, we also compared prices with another city with a similar population, Elizabeth, and found the average price of a click in Gainesville was 214% higher than in Elizabeth.
