St. Petersburg Ranks Amongst Least Expensive Markets for Google Adwords in USA

SEP's ongoing research into PPC Campaigns has revealed that St. Petersburg was the 120th least expensive city in USA in keyword bids in Google Adwords for the month of November 2014. St. Petersburg also ranks amongst the least expensive cities in Florida, ranking as number 11th. In the study, Dallas ranked as the most expensive city in the country, while Manchester ranked as the least expensive city.

SEP's research shows that the average price of a click to advertisers targeting St. Petersburg keywords increased by 14% in November 2014.

Google Adwords Keyword Prices 5% Lower in St. Petersburg than Clearwater

SEP’s research also tracks Google Adwords price changes and trends in cities across Canada and the U.S. Recent data shows that average prices in St. Petersburg are 5% lower than in Clearwater. The average price of a click in St. Petersburg is $11.10.

This price difference is interesting though, given the population of Clearwater is less than St. Petersburg.

To understand if prices in St. Petersburg align relatively, we also compared prices with Chandler, which has a similar population, and found the average price of a click in St. Petersburg was 13% higher than in Chandler.

The study illustrates the Average Price-Per-Click in a given city for select Industries and their related segments. Additionally, it reveals its current rank to other markets in a Country, Province, and its Month over Month % Price change.

This PPC study monitors the prices of keywords, number of advertisers competing for those keywords, and search volumes. To ensure relative market-to-market comparison keywords tracked are based on sufficient search volumes in all markets studied.
