Baton Rouge Ranks Amongst Most Expensive Markets for Keywords in West South Central

SEP's ongoing research into PPC Campaigns has revealed that Baton Rouge was the 12nd most expensive city in West South Central in keyword bids in Google Adwords for the month of May 2016. Baton Rouge also ranks amongst the most expensive cities in Louisiana, ranking 3rd. In the study, Carrollton ranked as the most expensive city in West South Central for keywords, while El Paso ranked as the least expensive city.

Year over Year Google Adwords Prices for Baton Rouge are up in May 2016

SEP's research shows that the average price of a click to advertisers targeting Baton Rouge keywords increased by (Yr/Yr increase %)% versus the same keywords one year earlier.

Google Adwords Keyword Prices 16% Lower in Baton Rouge than Lafayette

SEP’s research also tracks Google Adwords price changes and trends in cities across Canada and the U.S. Recent data shows that average prices in Baton Rouge are 16% lower than in Lafayette. The average price of a click in Baton Rouge is $16.18.

This price difference is interesting though, given the population of Lafayette is less than Baton Rouge.

To understand if prices in Baton Rouge align relatively, we also compared prices with Gilbert, which has a similar population, and found the average price of a click in Baton Rouge was 10% higher than in Gilbert.

The Price Rank shows how expensive keywords are in certain industry and segment relative to other cities in a country, region and province.
