Baton Rouge Ranks Amongst Most Expensive Markets for Google Adwords in USA

SEP's ongoing research into PPC Campaigns has revealed that Baton Rouge was the 19th most expensive city in USA in keyword bids in Google Adwords for the month of September 2016. Baton Rouge also ranks amongst the most expensive cities in Louisiana, ranking as 1st. In the study, San Buenaventura ranked as the most expensive city in the country, while Ontario ranked as the least expensive city.

Year over Year Google Adwords Prices for Baton Rouge are up in September 2016

SEP's research shows that the average price of a click to advertisers targeting Baton Rouge keywords increased by (Yr/Yr increase %)% versus the same keywords one year earlier.

Google Adwords Keyword Prices 10% Higher in Baton Rouge than Lafayette

SEP’s research also tracks Google Adwords price changes and trends in cities across Canada and the U.S. Recent data shows that average prices in Baton Rouge are 10% higher than in Lafayette. The average price of a click in Baton Rouge is $20.02.

This price difference is understandable though, given the population of Lafayette is less than Baton Rouge, which generally means less competition and therefore lower prices.

To understand if prices in Baton Rouge are relatively low, we also compared prices with Gilbert which has a similar population, and found the average price of a click in Baton Rouge was 69% higher than in Gilbert. This suggests that perhaps Baton Rouge prices are not relatively low.

The Price Rank shows how expensive keywords are in certain industry and segment relative to other cities in a country, region and province.
