Omaha Ranks Amongst Most Expensive Markets for Keywords in Rocky Mountain States

SEP's ongoing research into PPC Campaigns has revealed that Omaha was the 15th most expensive city in Rocky Mountain States in keyword bids in Google Adwords for the month of September 2016. Omaha also ranks amongst the most expensive cities in Nebraska, ranking 1st. In the study, Ann Arbour ranked as the most expensive city in Rocky Mountain States for keywords, while Fort Wayne ranked as the least expensive city.

Year over Year Google Adwords Prices for Omaha are up in September 2016

SEP's research shows that the average price of a click to advertisers targeting Omaha keywords increased by (Yr/Yr increase %)% versus the same keywords one year earlier.

Google Adwords Keyword Prices 159% Higher in Omaha than Independence

SEP’s research also tracks Google Adwords price changes and trends in cities across Canada and the U.S. Recent data shows that average prices in Omaha are 159% higher than in Independence. The average price of a click in Omaha is $16.73.

This price difference is understandable though, given the population of Independence is less than Omaha, which generally means less competition and therefore lower prices.

To understand if prices in Omaha are relatively low, we also compared prices with Raleigh which has a similar population, and found the average price of a click in Omaha was 9% higher than in Raleigh. This suggests that perhaps Omaha prices are not relatively low.

The Price Rank shows how expensive keywords are in certain industry and segment relative to other cities in a country, region and province.

The study illustrates the Average Price-Per-Click in a given city for select Industries and their related segments. Additionally, it reveals its current rank to other markets in a Country, Province, and its Month over Month % Price change.
