Albuquerque Ranks Amongst Most Expensive Markets for Keywords in Rocky Mountain States

SEP's ongoing research into PPC Campaigns has revealed that Albuquerque was the 19th most expensive city in Rocky Mountain States in keyword bids in Google Adwords for the month of May 2016. Albuquerque also ranks amongst the most expensive cities in New Mexico, ranking 1st. In the study, Ann Arbour ranked as the most expensive city in Rocky Mountain States for keywords, while Fort Wayne ranked as the least expensive city.

Month over Month Google Adwords Prices for Albuquerque Rise in May 2016

SEP's research shows that the average price of a click to advertisers targeting Albuquerque keywords increased by 10% in May 2016.

Not surprisingly, the month over month price increases for Albuquerque Google Adwords terms helped increase prices (yr./yr. price increase)% higher than the same period last year.

Google Adwords Keyword Prices 46% Higher in Albuquerque than Las Cruces

SEP’s research also tracks Google Adwords price changes and trends in cities across Canada and the U.S. Recent data shows that average prices in Albuquerque are 46% higher than in Las Cruces. The average price of a click in Albuquerque is $16.17.

This price difference is understandable though, given the population of Las Cruces is less than Albuquerque, which generally means less competition and therefore lower prices.

To get a better sense of relative prices, we also compared prices with another city of equal population, Milwaukee, and found the average price of a click in Albuquerque was 10% lower than in Milwaukee. This suggests that perhaps prices in Albuquerque are relatively low.

The Price Rank shows how expensive keywords are in certain industry and segment relative to other cities in a country, region and province.
