Mckinney Ranks Amongst Most Expensive Markets for Keywords in West South Central

SEP's ongoing research into PPC Campaigns has revealed that Mckinney was the 13rd most expensive city in West South Central in keyword bids in Google Adwords for the month of September 2016. Mckinney also ranks amongst the most expensive cities in Texas, ranking 10th. In the study, Austin ranked as the most expensive city in West South Central for keywords, while El Paso ranked as the least expensive city.

SEP's research shows that the average price of a click to advertisers targeting Mckinney keywords increased by 23% in September 2016.

Not surprisingly, the month over month price increases for Mckinney Google Adwords terms helped increase prices (yr./yr. price increase)% higher than the same period last year.

Google Adwords Keyword Prices 13% Lower in Mckinney than Frisco

SEP’s research also tracks Google Adwords price changes and trends in cities across Canada and the U.S. Recent data shows that average prices in Mckinney are 13% lower than in Frisco. The average price of a click in Mckinney is $16.60.

This price difference is interesting though, given the population of Frisco is less than Mckinney.

To understand if prices in Mckinney align relatively, we also compared prices with Escondido, which has a similar population, and found the average price of a click in Mckinney was 63% higher than in Escondido.

The Price Rank shows how expensive keywords are in certain industry and segment relative to other cities in a country, region and province.

This PPC study monitors the prices of keywords, number of advertisers competing for those keywords, and search volumes. To ensure relative market-to-market comparison keywords tracked are based on sufficient search volumes in all markets studied.
