Mckinney Ranks Amongst Most Expensive Markets for Keywords in West South Central

SEP's ongoing research into PPC Campaigns has revealed that Mckinney was the 12nd most expensive city in West South Central in keyword bids in Google Adwords for the month of September 2014. Mckinney also ranks amongst the most expensive cities in Texas, ranking 11th. In the study, Mesquite ranked as the most expensive city in West South Central for keywords, while Midland ranked as the least expensive city.

SEP's research shows that the average price of a click to advertisers targeting Mckinney keywords increased by 16% in September 2014.

Google Adwords Keyword Prices 1% Lower in Mckinney than Frisco

SEP’s research also tracks Google Adwords price changes and trends in cities across Canada and the U.S. Recent data shows that average prices in Mckinney are 1% lower than in Frisco. The average price of a click in Mckinney is $14.38.

This price difference is interesting though, given the population of Frisco is less than Mckinney.

To understand if prices in Mckinney align relatively, we also compared prices with Escondido, which has a similar population, and found the average price of a click in Mckinney was 42% higher than in Escondido.

An ongoing PPC Study by Search Engine People tracks and monitors how paid search in North America’s Top Cities is changing over time for select industries.

The study illustrates the Average Price-Per-Click in a given city for select Industries and their related segments. Additionally, it reveals its current rank to other markets in a Country, Province, and its Month over Month % Price change.

This PPC study monitors the prices of keywords, number of advertisers competing for those keywords, and search volumes. To ensure relative market-to-market comparison keywords tracked are based on sufficient search volumes in all markets studied.

The study includes a limited numbers of keywords to represent each industry, and specific segments in each industry. The main industries tracked are:
