San Antonio Ranks Amongst Most Expensive Markets for Keywords in West South Central

SEP's ongoing research into PPC Campaigns has revealed that San Antonio was the 8th most expensive city in West South Central in keyword bids in Google Adwords for the month of August 2016. San Antonio also ranks amongst the most expensive cities in Texas, ranking 6th. In the study, Austin ranked as the most expensive city in West South Central for keywords, while El Paso ranked as the least expensive city.

Year over Year Google Adwords Prices for San Antonio are up in August 2016

SEP's research shows that the average price of a click to advertisers targeting San Antonio keywords increased by (Yr/Yr increase %)% versus the same keywords one year earlier.

Google Adwords Keyword Prices 40% Higher in San Antonio than Round Rock

SEP’s research also tracks Google Adwords price changes and trends in cities across Canada and the U.S. Recent data shows that average prices in San Antonio are 40% higher than in Round Rock. The average price of a click in San Antonio is $19.53.

This price difference is understandable though, given the population of Round Rock is less than San Antonio, which generally means less competition and therefore lower prices.

To get a better sense of relative prices, we also compared prices with another city of equal population, San Diego, and found the average price of a click in San Antonio was 14% lower than in San Diego. This suggests that perhaps prices in San Antonio are relatively low.

The Price Rank shows how expensive keywords are in certain industry and segment relative to other cities in a country, region and province.
