Virginia Beach Ranks Amongst Most Expensive Markets for Keywords in South Atlantic

SEP's ongoing research into PPC Campaigns has revealed that Virginia Beach was the 12nd most expensive city in South Atlantic in keyword bids in Google Adwords for the month of September 2016. Virginia Beach also ranks amongst the most expensive cities in Virginia, ranking 1st. In the study, Miami Gardens ranked as the most expensive city in South Atlantic for keywords, while Tallahassee ranked as the least expensive city.

Year over Year Google Adwords Prices for Virginia Beach are up in September 2016

SEP's research shows that the average price of a click to advertisers targeting Virginia Beach keywords increased by (Yr/Yr increase %)% versus the same keywords one year earlier.

Google Adwords Keyword Prices 121% Higher in Virginia Beach than Chesapeake

SEP’s research also tracks Google Adwords price changes and trends in cities across Canada and the U.S. Recent data shows that average prices in Virginia Beach are 121% higher than in Chesapeake. The average price of a click in Virginia Beach is $16.82.

This price difference is understandable though, given the population of Chesapeake is less than Virginia Beach, which generally means less competition and therefore lower prices.

To get a better sense of relative prices, we also compared prices with another city of equal population, Atlanta, and found the average price of a click in Virginia Beach was 12% lower than in Atlanta. This suggests that perhaps prices in Virginia Beach are relatively low.

The Price Rank shows how expensive keywords are in certain industry and segment relative to other cities in a country, region and province.

The study illustrates the Average Price-Per-Click in a given city for select Industries and their related segments. Additionally, it reveals its current rank to other markets in a Country, Province, and its Month over Month % Price change.
