Tacoma Ranks Amongst Least Expensive Markets for Google Adwords in USA

SEP's ongoing research into PPC Campaigns has revealed that Tacoma was the 74th least expensive city in USA in keyword bids in Google Adwords for the month of August 2016. Tacoma also ranks amongst the least expensive cities in Washington, ranking as number 3rd. In the study, San Buenaventura ranked as the most expensive city in the country, while Manchester ranked as the least expensive city.

SEP's research shows that the average price of a click to advertisers targeting Tacoma keywords increased by (Yr/Yr increase %)% versus the same keywords one year earlier.

Google Adwords Keyword Prices 33% Higher in Tacoma than Kent

SEP’s research also tracks Google Adwords price changes and trends in cities across Canada and the U.S. Recent data shows that average prices in Tacoma are 33% higher than in Kent. The average price of a click in Tacoma is $15.40.

This price difference is understandable though, given the population of Kent is less than Tacoma, which generally means less competition and therefore lower prices.

To understand if prices in Tacoma are relatively low, we also compared prices with Oxnard which has a similar population, and found the average price of a click in Tacoma was 12% higher than in Oxnard. This suggests that perhaps Tacoma prices are not relatively low.

The Price Rank shows how expensive keywords are in certain industry and segment relative to other cities in a country, region and province.

The study illustrates the Average Price-Per-Click in a given city for select Industries and their related segments. Additionally, it reveals its current rank to other markets in a Country, Province, and its Month over Month % Price change.
