Tempe Ranks Amongst Most Expensive Markets for Keywords in Rocky Mountain States

SEP's ongoing research into PPC Campaigns has revealed that Tempe was the 18th most expensive city in Rocky Mountain States in keyword bids in Google Adwords for the month of March 2015. Tempe also ranks amongst the most expensive cities in Arizona, ranking 4th. In the study, Ann Arbour ranked as the most expensive city in Rocky Mountain States for keywords, while Fort Wayne ranked as the least expensive city.

Google Adwords Keyword Prices 16% Lower in Tempe than Mesa

SEP’s research also tracks Google Adwords price changes and trends in cities across Canada and the U.S. Recent data shows that average prices in Tempe are 16% lower than in Mesa. The average price of a click in Tempe is $15.16.

This price differential is expected however, as Mesa has a larger population than Tempe.

To get a better sense of relative prices, we also compared prices with another similarly sized city, Ontario, and found the average price of a click in Tempe was 67% higher than in Ontario.
