Escondido Ranks Amongst Least Expensive Markets for Google Adwords in USA

SEP's ongoing research into PPC Campaigns has revealed that Escondido was the 184th least expensive city in USA in keyword bids in Google Adwords for the month of May 2016. Escondido also ranks amongst the least expensive cities in California, ranking as number 49th. In the study, San Buenaventura ranked as the most expensive city in the country, while Ontario ranked as the least expensive city.

SEP's research shows that the average price of a click to advertisers targeting Escondido keywords increased by 13% in May 2016.

Not surprisingly, the month over month price increases for Escondido Google Adwords terms helped increase prices (yr./yr. price increase)% higher than the same period last year.

Google Adwords Keyword Prices 38% Lower in Escondido than Carlsbad

SEP’s research also tracks Google Adwords price changes and trends in cities across Canada and the U.S. Recent data shows that average prices in Escondido are 38% lower than in Carlsbad. The average price of a click in Escondido is $9.71.

This price difference is interesting though, given the population of Carlsbad is less than Escondido.

This PPC study monitors the prices of keywords, number of advertisers competing for those keywords, and search volumes. To ensure relative market-to-market comparison keywords tracked are based on sufficient search volumes in all markets studied.
