Thornton Ranks Amongst Least Expensive Markets for Google Adwords in USA

SEP's ongoing research into PPC Campaigns has revealed that Thornton was the 87th least expensive city in USA in keyword bids in Google Adwords for the month of September 2014. Thornton also ranks amongst the least expensive cities in Colorado, ranking as number 6th. In the study, San Buenaventura ranked as the most expensive city in the country, while Ontario ranked as the least expensive city.

Google Adwords Keyword Prices 40% Higher in Thornton than Westminster

SEP’s research also tracks Google Adwords price changes and trends in cities across Canada and the U.S. Recent data shows that average prices in Thornton are 40% higher than in Westminster. The average price of a click in Thornton is $12.09.

This price difference is understandable though, given the population of Westminster is less than Thornton, which generally means less competition and therefore lower prices.

To understand if prices in Thornton are relatively low, we also compared prices with Gainesville which has a similar population, and found the average price of a click in Thornton was 26% higher than in Gainesville. This suggests that perhaps Thornton prices are not relatively low.

The Price Rank shows how expensive keywords are in certain industry and segment relative to other cities in a country, region and province.
