Atlanta Ranks Amongst Most Expensive Markets for Keywords in South Atlantic

SEP's ongoing research into PPC Campaigns has revealed that Atlanta was the 7th most expensive city in South Atlantic in keyword bids in Google Adwords for the month of September 2016. Atlanta also ranks amongst the most expensive cities in Georgia, ranking 1st. In the study, Miami Gardens ranked as the most expensive city in South Atlantic for keywords, while Tallahassee ranked as the least expensive city.

Year over Year Google Adwords Prices for Atlanta are up in September 2016

SEP's research shows that the average price of a click to advertisers targeting Atlanta keywords increased by (Yr/Yr increase %)% versus the same keywords one year earlier.

Google Adwords Keyword Prices 187% Higher in Atlanta than Sandy Springs

SEP’s research also tracks Google Adwords price changes and trends in cities across Canada and the U.S. Recent data shows that average prices in Atlanta are 187% higher than in Sandy Springs. The average price of a click in Atlanta is $19.26.

This price difference is understandable though, given the population of Sandy Springs is less than Atlanta, which generally means less competition and therefore lower prices.

To understand if prices in Atlanta are relatively low, we also compared prices with Virginia Beach which has a similar population, and found the average price of a click in Atlanta was 14% higher than in Virginia Beach. This suggests that perhaps Atlanta prices are not relatively low.

The Price Rank shows how expensive keywords are in certain industry and segment relative to other cities in a country, region and province.

The study illustrates the Average Price-Per-Click in a given city for select Industries and their related segments. Additionally, it reveals its current rank to other markets in a Country, Province, and its Month over Month % Price change.
