New Orleans Ranks Amongst Least Expensive Markets for Google Adwords in USA

SEP's ongoing research into PPC Campaigns has revealed that New Orleans was the 103rd least expensive city in USA in keyword bids in Google Adwords for the month of September 2016. New Orleans also ranks amongst the least expensive cities in Louisiana, ranking as number 4th. In the study, San Buenaventura ranked as the most expensive city in the country, while Ontario ranked as the least expensive city.

SEP's research shows that the average price of a click to advertisers targeting New Orleans keywords increased by (Yr/Yr increase %)% versus the same keywords one year earlier.

Google Adwords Keyword Prices 130% Higher in New Orleans than Gulfport

SEP’s research also tracks Google Adwords price changes and trends in cities across Canada and the U.S. Recent data shows that average prices in New Orleans are 130% higher than in Gulfport. The average price of a click in New Orleans is $13.53.

This price difference is understandable though, given the population of Gulfport is less than New Orleans, which generally means less competition and therefore lower prices.

To get a better sense of relative prices, we also compared prices with another city of equal population, Arlington, and found the average price of a click in New Orleans was 25% lower than in Arlington. This suggests that perhaps prices in New Orleans are relatively low.

The Price Rank shows how expensive keywords are in certain industry and segment relative to other cities in a country, region and province.
