New Orleans Ranks Amongst Most Expensive Markets for Keywords in West South Central

SEP's ongoing research into PPC Campaigns has revealed that New Orleans was the 9th most expensive city in West South Central in keyword bids in Google Adwords for the month of May 2016. New Orleans also ranks amongst the most expensive cities in Louisiana, ranking 2nd. In the study, Carrollton ranked as the most expensive city in West South Central for keywords, while El Paso ranked as the least expensive city.

Year over Year Google Adwords Prices for New Orleans are up in May 2016

SEP's research shows that the average price of a click to advertisers targeting New Orleans keywords increased by (Yr/Yr increase %)% versus the same keywords one year earlier.

Google Adwords Keyword Prices 420% Higher in New Orleans than Gulfport

SEP’s research also tracks Google Adwords price changes and trends in cities across Canada and the U.S. Recent data shows that average prices in New Orleans are 420% higher than in Gulfport. The average price of a click in New Orleans is $17.74.

This price difference is understandable though, given the population of Gulfport is less than New Orleans, which generally means less competition and therefore lower prices.

To get a better sense of relative prices, we also compared prices with another city of equal population, Arlington, and found the average price of a click in New Orleans was 15% lower than in Arlington. This suggests that perhaps prices in New Orleans are relatively low.

The Price Rank shows how expensive keywords are in certain industry and segment relative to other cities in a country, region and province.
