SEP's research shows that the average price of a click to advertisers targeting Charlotte keywords increased by 32% in July 2015.

Google Adwords Keyword Prices 285% Higher in Charlotte than High Point

SEP’s research also tracks Google Adwords price changes and trends in cities across Canada and the U.S. Recent data shows that average prices in Charlotte are 285% higher than in High Point. The average price of a click in Charlotte is $18.08.

This price difference is understandable though, given the population of High Point is less than Charlotte, which generally means less competition and therefore lower prices.

To get a better sense of relative prices, we also compared prices with another city of equal population, Fort Worth, and found the average price of a click in Charlotte was 13% lower than in Fort Worth. This suggests that perhaps prices in Charlotte are relatively low.
