Oklahoma City Ranks Amongst Most Expensive Markets for Keywords in West South Central

SEP's ongoing research into PPC Campaigns has revealed that Oklahoma City was the 11th most expensive city in West South Central in keyword bids in Google Adwords for the month of March 2015. Oklahoma City also ranks amongst the most expensive cities in Oklahoma, ranking 1st. In the study, Austin ranked as the most expensive city in West South Central for keywords, while El Paso ranked as the least expensive city.

Google Adwords Keyword Prices 173% Higher in Oklahoma City than Norman

SEP’s research also tracks Google Adwords price changes and trends in cities across Canada and the U.S. Recent data shows that average prices in Oklahoma City are 173% higher than in Norman. The average price of a click in Oklahoma City is $15.46.

This price difference is understandable though, given the population of Norman is less than Oklahoma City, which generally means less competition and therefore lower prices.

To get a better sense of relative prices, we also compared prices with another city of equal population, Nashville, and found the average price of a click in Oklahoma City was 11% lower than in Nashville. This suggests that perhaps prices in Oklahoma City are relatively low.

The study illustrates the Average Price-Per-Click in a given city for select Industries and their related segments. Additionally, it reveals its current rank to other markets in a Country, Province, and its Month over Month % Price change.

This PPC study monitors the prices of keywords, number of advertisers competing for those keywords, and search volumes. To ensure relative market-to-market comparison keywords tracked are based on sufficient search volumes in all markets studied.
