Fort Worth Ranks Amongst Most Expensive Markets for Google Adwords in USA

SEP's ongoing research into PPC Campaigns has revealed that Fort Worth was the 7th most expensive city in USA in keyword bids in Google Adwords for the month of September 2014. Fort Worth also ranks amongst the most expensive cities in Texas, ranking as 3rd. In the study, San Buenaventura ranked as the most expensive city in the country, while Ontario ranked as the least expensive city.

Google Adwords Keyword Prices 59% Higher in Fort Worth than Arlington

SEP’s research also tracks Google Adwords price changes and trends in cities across Canada and the U.S. Recent data shows that average prices in Fort Worth are 59% higher than in Arlington. The average price of a click in Fort Worth is $20.09.

This price difference is understandable though, given the population of Arlington is less than Fort Worth, which generally means less competition and therefore lower prices.

To understand if prices in Fort Worth are relatively low, we also compared prices with Charlotte which has a similar population, and found the average price of a click in Fort Worth was 46% higher than in Charlotte. This suggests that perhaps Fort Worth prices are not relatively low.

The Price Rank shows how expensive keywords are in certain industry and segment relative to other cities in a country, region and province.

This PPC study monitors the prices of keywords, number of advertisers competing for those keywords, and search volumes. To ensure relative market-to-market comparison keywords tracked are based on sufficient search volumes in all markets studied.
