Milwaukee Ranks Amongst Least Expensive Markets for Google Adwords in USA

SEP's ongoing research into PPC Campaigns has revealed that Milwaukee was the 52nd least expensive city in USA in keyword bids in Google Adwords for the month of November 2014. Milwaukee also ranks amongst the least expensive cities in Wisconsin, ranking as number 1st. In the study, Dallas ranked as the most expensive city in the country, while Manchester ranked as the least expensive city.

Google Adwords Keyword Prices 197% Higher in Milwaukee than Kenosha

SEP’s research also tracks Google Adwords price changes and trends in cities across Canada and the U.S. Recent data shows that average prices in Milwaukee are 197% higher than in Kenosha. The average price of a click in Milwaukee is $14.70.

This price difference is understandable though, given the population of Kenosha is less than Milwaukee, which generally means less competition and therefore lower prices.

To understand if prices in Milwaukee are relatively low, we also compared prices with Albuquerque which has a similar population, and found the average price of a click in Milwaukee was 5% higher than in Albuquerque. This suggests that perhaps Milwaukee prices are not relatively low.
