Great article here Joe and you make some good points.

My initial qualm with Periscope was it's longevity. In theory it seems like a great idea and when I first had a play with it it was great for seeing what's going on in different areas of the world!

However, since it's release, many of my colleagues and I have revealed how we barely use the platform for personal use - the huge drain on your battery being a key factor!

Also, in terms of latest news and breaking stories Twitter and other platforms are still miles ahead.

In terms of marketing, you make some good points and show good examples - I think Periscope would be great for an ecommerce company especially.

It will be interesting to see how the platform does over the coming months.

Thanks guys, I hadn't considered using Periscope but now will have to dabble and see how it goes.

Everything seems to be converging towards video these days so it does make sense :)

Thanks
