It’s pretty step by step guide on identifying spammy links. But removing them is a pain. In most cases disavowing is the only solution. In this connection i would like to add that if the website has a product to sell and recruits affiliates for the same, then affiliates should be encouraged to use no-follow tag while linking to the landing page.
