They’re a good combination. I don’t really build backlinks – I just focus on writing on topic replies to blog posts I’m interested in and leaving links in my signature area on forums I post on regularly. Any links made are made by people interested in sharing my content. However, I use Ahrefs to find good websites and forums that would be ideal to get active on.
