Nice article Nick! But you forgot to mention broken links. I recently encountered a similar situation when i was trying to move my blog to a new server. The Zip file got corrupt yet i had deleted it on the old server. I had to use a zip recover tool but i didn't get all the images. I uploaded the website the way it is but up to now my organic traffic is still suffering. Am just trying to do away with the broken links but it's a huge job, i had close to 2340 articles on that blog.
