Yes, I teach, so it does come natural for me to do video tutorials in my posts. And that’s pretty much what my readers expect. I think you just need to decide if it’s a good fit for your blog. I also make sure I do some straight text posts and screenshot tutorials as well. Nice to mix it up.

I’ve been using videos on quite a few of my blogs, and Ive also been a big proponent of visitor engagement through multimedia, and especially through the use of videos. Video blogging has taken off recently, and videos are new podcasts. And contrary to what people think, its not even that difficult (or expensive to do), and putting together a video takes just about the same time as doing a well-researched post would.

I agree that we don’t even read as much as we used to and infographics are now king/queen on-line ;)so yes – video must be near that type of content.

Great post Keri, at first I was extremely scared to be on camera. I started making videos and using humor to calm my nerves, now I am starting to get a more serious tone to videos that require a serious tone and you learn as you go. For those of you who are scared to jump in, take the dive it is not that bad : )
