great post. i think that we (seo experts) don't really care about long term results because of what i call "immediate results pressure" (for example when you are inside an seo agency your client want more visits and good rankings right now).So people always encourage those who built link bait tactics to gain more links, but few of them insists on Trusted links maybe because nobody can clearly explain what does Trust really mean?

Anyway this post is great and i found it useful; hope to see more practical examples on how we can do to apply these great advices

In reply to <a href="https://www.searchenginepeople.com/blog/build-trust.html/comment-page-1#comment-73866">Wayne Barker</a>.

Hi Wayne,

Thanks for the compliment!

I totally agree with you. Building strong backlinks is tough and is even tougher when you have a new site. It's really a vicious circle. The ones who need the backlinks the most are also the ones which have the most trouble getting them. And vice versa.

It's not easy to explain the reality of SEO to business decision makers which know nothing about it!

Great post Arnaud,

Building the best possible links for any given site is tough. Getting trust worthy links is the best long term strtegy (unless you have a site that is time specific that you can afford to hit and run with). The biggest problem is getting businesses that you work with to belive this and have then have the patience to watch their site slowly rise up the search results rathyer than hit the top straight away!!!
