I'm guessing that this is some kind of kickback against the search engines and the (ridiculous) pricing of PPC campaigns. FB now outstrips Google for daily searches. Admittedly, much of the searching is organic to FaceBook but the possibilities are almost endless hence especially when traffic comes from free fan pages.

It'll be interesting to see how Bing/Google/Yahoo combat the rise of FB fan pages.

It's so true right now that Facebook is one of the greatest untapped resources in the internet marketing & social media realm. I actually use a paid service / program that enables me to integrate my eCommerce store catalogs into my Facebook fan pages, so that customers can order directly off of Facebook. They can also do a lot more, it's really flexible and becoming more popular each day, there are still few who are using it.

One of the best parts about Facebook is that every fan page or profile grows at a steady rate, only gaining friends & fans faster and faster as time goes on, because of the related friend suggestion tool and the way that fan pages grow automatically from profile views.

It's really worth while for me these days to use the FB store, I am earning an extra $1,000 per month from 1 store, which is NOT bad at all, I didn't pay more than $500 for the Facebook store and other marketing service package.
