What's the best part about the Super Bowl? The commercials, of course! And ever since the dotcom boom days, a lot of the commercials focus on the Internet in some way, shape or form. This year, according to Super Bowl advertisers take to the Web - Business of Super Bowl - MSNBC.com , some of the major brands that will be advertising will be focusing on creating microsites designed around the commerical.
Some of them sound pretty interesting and creative, and this is what interests me the most. These guys are using some of the greatest creative marketing minds in the world, and I hope to learn from them. So, I'm not only going to be analyzing the commercials, but also the websites that they put together.
What kind of viral marketing will they be using? What's the hook? How are they going to grab their share of the market from these creative ideas? And most importantly, what kind of thought processes will those ideas spawn in me? Is there something similar I can do with my sites to make them stand out and be noticed?
I'm looking forward to the big game, but I'm also looking forward to seeing what kind of creativity the big bucks will buy, and how I can translate that creativity into something I can use.
