I feel that the most important point here is number 3. You need to be true and real to your company and to yourself. You may turn some visitors away by doing this. However, it's most likely that the majority of your visitors will see that you are being real, and the will respect that and be real with you.

The aspect of testing can't be overstated - you really don't know what way people want to digest your content. There's an insatiable demand for it but not necessarily the type of content you think.

For example, I help a lot of people with article marketing as well as doing my own but I think that for certain target markets, the effectiveness of it is decreasing enormously. While it may be easy to say write more articles - you could write yourself to eternity and get fatigued and frustrated when you realize that everyone has been wanting podcasts and videos.

It's a lot to think about. That's why content strategy is becoming so important - not just putting it out there but how you're going to do it and who are you really creating it for.
