Hi Eileen, good write up to get started. Just be aware that GWO will stop working August 1st so you can update the post. Google killed multivariate testing and some other features and moved it to Google Analytics.

We opened Convert.com to serve multivariate testing with Google Analytics if you want to take a peak :-)

Do you need to have a unique page name for each test page?

For example, lets say this blog links to a page on my WordPress website, e.g., www.somesite.com/searchenginepeople/ and I want to use GWSO to test the traffic coming from you.

How can I do this if the link from you is always going to be: www.somesite.com/searchenginepeople/ ?

I can't ask you to change the link -- so I am I supposed to create two pages -- ../searchenginepeople/ and ../searchenginepeople2 but you still keep the original link the same - www.somesite.com/searchenginepeople/

Thanks!

Hi Eileen, great walk through for GWO A/B testing! Definitely testing can bring out the best in your blog. For Multivariate testen titles / links / images in you blogpost itself you'll need an additional plugin.

You can find the ins and outs on http://www.thijsvannoort.nl/online-marketing/multivariate-testing-gwo-wordpress/ if you'd like to give it a try.
