Thanks as i had never realised i could search google like that. Knew about Site XXXX.COM for seeing amount of indexed pages but had not realised i could do it with keyword at the end. I am assumimg by doing that i might be able to divert the google search terms to an inner page rather than the homepage of a keyword i am thinking of targetting and that currently has the homepage as the landing page in google search?

Great article James - I love it when I read articles that are straight to the point. This is how I see internal linking in a nutshell! The only thing that I would say is you could probably go a bit further and your list of 20 or so sites that Google finds reasonably relevant for your search query you're going for - you could add a few more references to the keyword here and there on the pages if you wanted to enhance that a little. So when you're pointing it back to your main article you might be able to pass a little more kudos along?
